Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Good Hang mobile application, operated by The Creature Code LLC. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Good Hang. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Notify us immediately at help@goodhangapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
You may change your username once every 30 days. Usernames must not impersonate another person or contain offensive content.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to submit false, misleading, or malicious ratings or content; manipulate venue rankings through coordinated or automated activity; access the App through unauthorized means or attempt to reverse-engineer it; use the App for any unlawful purpose; harass or impersonate other users; or submit content containing profanity or hate speech. We reserve the right to remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules.
4. User Content
Ratings and interest selections you submit are yours. By submitting them you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that data to operate and improve the App, including powering the venue recommendation algorithm and displaying aggregate venue scores to other users. You can delete your content at any time by deleting your account.
5. Social Features
Good Hang includes optional social features. You can make your profile public, which allows other users to view your display name, username, interest profile, badges, and follower counts. Your rating history is only visible to users you have approved as followers, regardless of your profile visibility setting.
If your profile is private, other users may send you a follow request. You are not obligated to approve any request. You can remove followers or revoke follower access at any time. You agree not to use follow requests to harass or repeatedly contact users who have declined your request.
Your ratings always contribute to the venue ranking algorithm regardless of your privacy setting. This contribution is anonymized - other users see aggregate venue scores, not individual attributions.
6. Location Services
The App requests access to your device location to show you nearby venues. Location access is required for core functionality. You can revoke location permissions in your device settings at any time.
7. Intellectual Property
The Good Hang name, logo, app design, and underlying code are owned by The Creature Code LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. VENUE RECOMMENDATIONS ARE BASED ON USER-GENERATED DATA AND ARE NOT GUARANTEES OF QUALITY OR EXPERIENCE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CREATURE CODE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY DOLLARS ($50).
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Sections 4, 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
